Extracting Kernel32 in win98 using SFC

I know it can be done, but I just wanted to post this out there to ask if anyone has ever had this actually SOLVE anything. I work for a large ISP, and I see a LOT of Kernel32 errors, and have often thought that we should extract the file in SFC, but then I thought that I personally have never heard of anyone gaining anything from doing so. Your thoughts?
