Failure to parse aspx files

I’m currently trying to run .aspx files via win2k pro and iis but have hit a wall with recurring “server application unavailable” messages on my browser and “aspnet_wp.exe (PID: 1524) was recycled because it was suspected to be in a deadlocked state. It did not send any responses for pending requests in the last 180 seconds.” from the application event viewer.

I believe similar q’s have been asked before but did not seem to cover my scenario. Help and advice much appreciated.
