Fat32 and NTFS under XP Pro

Thanks for the two answers. I did check the BIOS and it is set to AUTO, the pins on both drives are set to Cable Detect. The forcing I spoke about in the install of XP Pro is real, I had two choice NTFS (Quick) and without the Quick Option so I chose QUICK. There was never an option for FAT32. When I looked at changin the letter assigned to the second drive under Manage/Action pull down menu there was no action that resembled Letter assignment. What should I do next?
