First I have to say thank you to KK for his typing. I had a similar problem with my AMD K6-500. I believe the problem was solved by underclocking the processor. After I underclocked the processor I was able to install Win 98 just fine. Now when I start up Win 98 I get a “Fatal Exception 0D at address 0337:0000049F” There is no further information with it. Everytime I start up windows I get the SAME message. I can go into windows in safe mode. I tried to disable “32 bit mode protected drivers” but that didn’t help.
