Faulty Windows Media Player

In my media player the movie that is played is played in frames i.e. after every frame(1sec) there is slight pause(some milliseconds) then the next frame comes. same is with the sound, it jumps with frames. i have P-IV machine with Intel D850MD board with external SIS 300/305 graphics card.
