Favourites re-maps drive when selecting properties

by simon.s.barker . Updated 19 years, 3 months ago

We have a problem where Users have a favourite set (My Computer) to a location ie g:\mydata. We have moved the Mydata area to a new location, however the old Mydata still exists. When we try to modify the properties of the favourite to reflect the new location ie h:\mydata the old drive mappring is created. Is there a way to turn this Windows feature off. It has the potential to cause all kinds of data issues for us. I am not sure whethere this is some kind of Caching issue.
