Faxing

Until I get a fax server, is it possible to access a modem on a networked pc to send faxes out from MS Word? All the pcs on the network are running Win98. I’m not looking to give everyone access to the modem,just one or two. Like I said, this is a temp thing for the next 6 months or so.
