Faxing for W2K server & NT4 workstations

A customer currently has a Windows 2000 server/DC and several client NT4 workstations. They would like a desktop fax solution for the clients PCs, so that they can fax from their desktop applications (MS Office etc.). Can this been done without purchasing additional software i.e. inbuilt solution within W2K server or NT4 workstation? If so how can this be setup, if not what additional software would you recommend?

Not sure if this matters, but the client has a 2Mb leased line with a fixed IPaddress.
