File Down Load

I am using win2k, explorer 5.5. When I go To download a file it immediately begins to download. I dont get the File Download dialog asking what I would like to do with this file.
open from current location or save this file to disk? The check box..Always ask before opening this type of file was accidently unchecked. How do I get this setting back?
