File Search from Website

Is there a tool that can be used to allow the user to search a shared network directory from an Intranet website?
I run a help website for our Mapping department. I have about 1000+ quads (maps) in a folder on a shared network drive and i would like if there is a way that they can search for the quad they need using the website and get a result.
If not i guess i’ll just put the link to the folder and they can do a manual search, but i just thought it would be convenient for them to be able to get a result using the website.
