File sharing problems btw XP & 9x

XP isn’t by area of expertise yet and I keep getting similiar complaints about XP having issues when trying to share files with a 9x PC (peer-to-peer style). The problems are generally extremely slow file transfers to XP locking-up. All TCP/IP andfile sharing configurations are reportedly set the way the are suppose to be.

Can’t seem to locate a solution at MS and was wondering if anyone has come across similiar problems with any solutions?
