File type association — Quicktime

I recently installed an older app that automatically installed Quicktime 2.01 on my machine. Now I notice that all my JPEG files are listed in Windows (98SE) as file type = Quicktime Picture. Quicktime must have changed them from JPEG image to QT Picture. I managed to change the association for this file type so that they now open in Photoshop (as before), but I want to change the file type back to JPEG Image. This is so annoying. Can someone give me a way to change this. Win98 help says if I just delete the filetype I won’t be able to open the files.
