find the exch mail serv in the registry

We have developed an application over Win95 and it sends email. We need to determine the Exchange mail server to connect to and this information is stored in the registry due to the fact we want use the Outlook profile of the local email client installation.
Does it exist an API to read this information in the registry on the basis of the logged user?
Or, does Outlook standard installation provide API to link to custom applications in order to determine the profile of the logged user?
