FindFast

I’ve asked this question before but haven’t received a satisfactory answer. I upgraded from Win 98 to Win 2000. FindFast began misbehaving. I read all the Microsoft docs and followed all the instructions on deleting it. However, when I boot the computer I get the message that Microsoft Office FindFast cannot be started. Of course, I deleted it. Then I searched the Registry. MS Office is calling FindFast. How far can I go in removing FindFast from the Registry?
