Firewall / Proxy personal opinions

I have a small network at home consisting of 5 servers NT 4.0 and 2000 and 4 workstations

I’m currently running MS Proxy server for security and web caching. I’m looking for something better than MS Proxy, preferably rule based, I don’t care so much about the proxy aspect as I do security.

I have looked at a couple different products one being Wingate which I ruled out VPN issues. The other is Sygate. I haven’t installed this yet I wanted to get opinions first.

If you have used Sygate let me know what you think. Features you like or dislike. Or any other packages that I may have missed. Same thing though tell what you like and don’t like.
