I have a network of about 70 computers with a dsl internet connection. I was using a sonicwall firewall router to protect our internet connection. A few months ago the firewall started crashing. I’d come in in the morning and the internet didn’t work. I tried connecting to the firewall’s ip address, and that didn’t work either. I rebooted the firewall and then all was fine again. But this kept on happening. At first it was just once every few weeks, but then it started happening more frequently. Every few days, I’d come in and find the internet down. It never happened during the day while people were working, only on nights or weekends. I thought that there was something wrong with the firewall, so I replaced it with a netgear firewall/router, but the problem didn’t go away. Around 2-3 times a week, the connection goes down and I need to restart the firewall. What could be causing this problem? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
