Flashing a BIOS with an NTFS drive

by stngfan1 . Updated 24 years ago

I have a Dell laptop and needed to flash the bios by booting to DOS and running an exe. Since I use W2K pro I converted the drive to ntfs. I can’t put in a W9x boot because it trys to boot W2K and reports NTDLR is missing. I removed my HDD and itbooted just fine and I was able to flash the Bios.

Is there a better way to do this?

My Bios is set to boot Floppy, CD then the Harddrive. A W2K boot floppy boots to W2K not DOS.

Thanks
TM
