Floppy disc drive problem

The floppy drive is not working.

I changed the flat connecting cables, checked the BIOS settings, and also installed a new floppy drive.

The light on the drive lights on clicking on the icon in My Computers, but the error messgae received if A:/is not accessable. The device is not working.

The problem is in the floppy drive controller on the motherboard.

How to rectify this problem.

Any solutions?
