Floppy Problem

I just built a new computer that I got and everything works fine except the floppy drive. The system recognizes it as a drive but it doesn’t read any of my disks. It can hear the drive check if a disk is in there. The light goes on too, but it just doesn’t read anything. I am using windows 2000 ntfs.
