folders “loose” nordic letter ?/? in ftp

Hi! when I upload files or folders to a win2k server they looses the nordic letter ? or ?. The other nordic letters ?,? or ? doesn`t affect by this. How come??(p?lse becomes plse…)
When I`m working on the server(on the consoll) the problems don`t appear…
