Foreign Dictionaries in Word

Can I configure word to use other language dictionaries, in other words, to be able to switch between English and French, say, at will, depending on the document I’m working on?
Can I legitimately get the other language dictionaries from Microsoft (or elsewhere) without buying two versions of Word??
