Fresh install using RPM?

I bought RedHat in a box, it is Linux 2.4.20-6. I have a Promise FasTrack tx4000 raid controller which requires kernel 2.4.20-8smp. Downloaded from RedHat FTP in RPM format. Post the question to RedHat technical support as how to install this package to a newly build PC with no software on it. They have not replied, is there a way to install the software in RPM format to a new machine? Thanks.
