Frustrated

I see that the main suggestion is for me to buy a download for windows xp troubleshooting process. My question is does this troubleshooting guide come in disk format? Will it fix my problem for me automatically? Or does it come with a list of “to do’s” I just spent my entire day fixing what I already had going by following a “to do” list that screwed everything up…..I think I am beyond frustrated and moving into PIS….ok better reign in my language…extremely angry.
