Full Screen Mode Failed

Please help me!
I am using Windows 2000. With this OS I need to use this DOS capabilities on full screen mode. If I run “cmd.exe” or “command.com” from this my PC, I get a message “The video device failed to initialize for fullscreen mode.” when it change to full screen mode.
