I can’t believe as long as I have been doing this that my mind is totally & completely blank on the subject, but I have a problem w/ editing Config.sys that I just can’t remember right now for the life of me how to do. Been up many days now and I need to get this 1 done & delivered. Someone please help.
I have 4 lines in the Config.sys file of a Win98SE machine that are edited w/ the REM (for Remove) command. I want to delete the lines completely & safely and can’t for the life of me remember how to completely remove rather than plainly edit them using REM before the line.
All have to do w/ CD ROM drives that are no longer installed (replaced by an old generation DVD ROM Drive driver). 3 were edited out (REM’d) by Windows, 1 by myself.
Could someone please give me the step-by-step and save my hide. Would be highly appreciated as I’d hate to leave them there where they are noticable during boot up.
Thank’s a bunch to anyone who can help.
