Hello,
I am using Windows 2000 on my laptop, and I have 2 gateways set up to accomodate connecting to the internet at home and at work.
Whenever my home gateway is first in my list of 2 gateways, it fails or takes ages to connect to the internet at work, and vice versa!
The first in the list always appears as the default gateway when I look at the results of ‘ipconfig’ – which seems reasonable, but I am sure that Windows 2000 should be able to look at the other gateways in the list without too much trouble, otherwise what is the point of being able to list lots of different gateways?
I think I am missing out on something, as I keep on deleting the gateway entry of the machine I am not using each time to make the correct one thedefault – to access the internet with any degree of success!
Cheers.
Ben.
