Gen. Protection Fault installing Win98

when installing win98 on a formatted drive a General Protection fault – w98setup.BIN at 0007:0BF7 and user:exe at 0001:40B6 then a Raw default fram stock dump EC=000 IO=5EF7 CS=03C7 FFFL=3007 SSP=FFEE SS=0327
I formatted due to other problems – burnt power supply and unable to start windows. Not using a current start up disk either.
