Generic Printer in W2K

I installed a generic priter in W2K Professional. I require to set the control character for it as it is necessary to print my financial reports. in Win95 i used + as character control set, But the same i try in W2K i am unable to do it. You can find this by right clicking the generic printer properties and clicking the device setting tab where u can set the various control characters. Please Help !!!!!
