Getting D-Link to work with Win NT WKS

I have an Acer laptop with a D-Link DFE660 PCMICA card. I installed the drivers and NT is telling me that they are installed ok. When I click on the PCMICA icon it is telling me that there is no device installed on the computer. When I reboot the computer with the card installed, the computer freezes on the CTRL ALT DEL screen. I can boot the computer without the card installed. I know the card is working as I just had Win 98 installed and working. When I click on devices the PCMICA card was disabled, I set it to auto and still no response.
Can anyone help as I need to have NT installed on this laptop and out the door very soon. Thankyou for your help!
