gigabit speed test

I am trying to find out what is a realistic network transfer speed in ?mbps? between 2 servers running Windows 2003 on a HP Procurve 4104gl gigabit switch.

My test was transferring a 3g folder onto one server to another server. The test completed in 3 minutes and 14 seconds.

Based on my result, on a 1000 mbps network, I am getting only a 50 mbps results. Help me out here, is the number is way off the chart or this is normal?

Any input is greatly appreciated.
