I am the GroupPolicy administrator for the firm I work for. I’m new to Group Policy as I have only been using it for about 3 months now. It seemed pretty simple until one employee decided to keep downloading garbage of the internet. Managment won’t keep her at bay, I got mad becouse of the countless hours of spyware removal so I put her in what I call my “lock down” OU. She was then unable to do her job and as a temporary fix, my boss moved her back into the Default Domain Policy. Now for some reason, her computer will not update group policy, inherit policy changes, refresh policy, etc… She keeps getting the ID: 1030 and 1058 errors which are:
Windows cannot access the file gpt.ini for GPO CN={31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9},CN=Policies,CN=System,DC=colden,DC=jbandr,DC=net. The file must be present at the location <\\colden.jbandr.net\sysvol\colden.jbandr.net\Policies\{31B2F340-016D-11D2-945F-00C04FB984F9}\gpt.ini>. (The network path was not found. ). Group Policy processing aborted.
She is the only one with the problem! Please help!
