GROUP RIGHTS

I copied an existing group and renamed that group. I then removed existing members from the new group and added new members to that group. I assigned the group to the permissions for the particular drive (folder). Users in the group are unable tomap (access) the drive even though the group has full rights to that drive. Why is NT not authenticating users in the new group and granting the appropriate access to them?
