Further to any previous questions I have posted, I am now at the stage where I have a PC that appears to work, except that even though when it detects the hard disk before windows starts up, it then says Primary master hard drive fail.
If I boot up with a win 98 boot disk, it does not recognise the hard drive.
My own PC (which is where I got the hard drive from)has no problems using the drive (fugitsu 10gb)
The PC i am trying to repair will not recognise this or any other hard drive
PS This is the case with the original motherboard, powersupply, processor and cables and also withn brand new ones and also by only connecting one hard drive with no others or CD Drives, and setting the jumpers to both cable select, and master
Where Im I going wrong
