hard drive from computer to computer

I want to move my hard drive from my computer to another computer. I have XP Pro on the drive in NTFS format. I seen an artical on this but can’t fine it now. Was wondering if you could tell me how to prepare my drive for the other computer. It has a different motherboard and cpu. I’m running a Asus A7V333 with a 2000+ AMD. I want to move it to a dell intel 2.0 different board and chip, what is the best way of doing this with out getting the blue screen. I no i have to uninstall my programs andany drivers i can, but what do i do about the motherboard drivers and all the other devices i have to disable.
