Hard Drive not booting up windows

by leland16 . Updated 18 years, 8 months ago

So my girlfriends comp was running low on space. I had a spare HD I went ahead and installed, turned it on, didnt boot up. I took it out looked at the pins and they were bent!! So I went ahead and booted her original HD back to start up Windows and it won’t boot. I see the screen to access bios, but after that I get a cursor blink at the top left. No further than that. I can also see that the hard drive is being read, it shows “38000mb partition” or whatever when i repair it. This is really bugging me cus it was her computer that I messed up :(. I have tried Windows XP disc repair didnt work. Messed with jumpers didnt work. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance.
