hardware upgrade?

I put a new motherboard, cpu, memory and vidio card. the sys turns on, the motherboard gose thru its check, every thing is there. the problem comes when it tries to start windows xp home. I get a real fast blue screen and the computer restarts. I put all the old stuff in and it boots up fine.
Do I have to reinstall windows?
