I am trying to install a Netport express 10/100 print server on to a small network with one ME client.
I have installed the management software on the PC along with the Add Printer software.
I can configure the print server from the Windows ME PC using the management software and the web interface. However I am not able to add the printer, either through the add printer wizard in windows ME or the add printer configuration that is included with the Intel software.
I have tried adding a port. When I do I get a message saying I must input a valid network address (I am putting in the right address).
I have set up the network printer on three 98 machines and they all work fine. I just can?t seem to make it work on the ME machine.
Can any one help!!!
Please keep in mind that I have tried the following:
1. Removed all Intel software, then tried installing printer ? did not work
2. Reinstall software ? did not work
3. Remove and reinstall printer software ? did not work
4. Installing new port ? did not work
5. Capture port? did not work
6. Set up new network ? did not work
7. Change address ? did not work
Etc?.
