Having issues with the SigmaTel audio on a d975xbx2.

I am running Windows XP MCE, Core 2 Duo 6600, 2 gigs of ram.

I am trying to get my microphone to work. When I initially start the computer, I can hear myself, but when I try to use it with, say, Teamspeak, it stops working. When I try to use sound recorder, it goes through the motions of recording, but the slider doesn’t actually move most of the time, and when it DOES move, it doesn’t record. I try to set it to different options in the audio control panel, but I cannot. The options are not greyed out, they simply don’t work.

I have tried several different mics, and even had the board replaced, all to no avail. Halp!
