Having problems installing windows2000

Hello I am having problems installing Windows2000 Professional. I can get to the point of install where Windows is about to save the settings, and sets up start and menu programs. But as soon as it gets to “Deleting temporary files” I get a blue screen saying memory stack dump complete. Please notify administrator. I then have to reboot the computer and redo the install again. I have not been able to install Windows 2000 yet. I did the upgrade from Win98 to hopefully have Windows 2000 Pro on mycomputer but no such luck. Hope you all can help.
