HDD Coruppted Help!!

hi i have a mobile HDD wich i connect to my computer it used to work just fine but this morning it appeared as Local Disk and not as it’s regular name wich i assinged to it. so when i tried to open it it saied that the file or directory is corrupted. i have some real importand data in there. is there anyway i can get it out ??
