HDD Recovery – Recommendations Needed

Received BSOD “Unmountable_Boot_Volume” and have tossed everything I know at a “Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8” 40GB hdd and nothing lets me in. Ran IDE Diagnostics and received “Primary IDE – Maxtor 6E040L0 – Fail – Return Code 7”. Ran Recovery Console chkdsk and stopped @ 50% with error message.

Tried setting the drive up as an external USB drive and as an internal slave drive, still unable to access drive or data.

Dell is sending replacement, but that won’t recover the data, which is “very important” according to user.

Can anyone recommend a good “HDD Recovery” company?
