Hi this is my first time on your forum. Please help! I am the beginner of all beginners!
Very basic computer knowlege.Quick learner! I am having so many problems with my Desk top Computer and Laptop. I have just finished paying a (supposably!) tech to sort out my problems with no satisfaction! Now have more problems than ever!
I have a Linksys Router 2.4Ghz 802.11b I do not have broadband until July (Hopefully). I use the old Dialup method with internal modem in my PC. I cannot get connection on my laptop today. The Router Power Light is green, next light -Wireless-B is green. There are no other lights flashing! I have a blue cable from the back of the router to the pc – connected. And the black power lead is connected. Many times (since it was set up!) I have to pull this out from the back of the router and wait a couple of minutes, then plug it back on to get the ethernet light flashing. Today no luck! Nothing just the 2 lights mentioned. Am I missing something here? I found a usb cable on the floor at the back of the computer, do I need this or is it from somthing else and just left there? I do know a little about pc’ but very basic.
Any advice is appreciated as I have so many computer issues I feel can be helped through in these forums.
