I have a winnt4.0 platform w/95&98 clients.
I’m using a system policy for a group of computers. I have a problem with the “My Computer” icon. I’m able to hide everything within the my computer icon except the dial-up networking icon. I knowI could delete it from the registry but is there a way to just hide it or disable it w/out deleteing it from the registry or is there a way to totally disable the my computer icon also w/out deleting it from the registry. I had problem’s with the mentioned above so I decided to use a mandatory profile w/ the system policy. But with this I do not want outlook express. explorer, notepad etc., to become part of the profile. I basically don’t want anything created on the desk top just on the tool bar and with this only certain applications. Is there a way to delete these appplications. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance…
