“Hidden Admin” vs Created Admin Account

I forgot the “backdoor” local Administrator password that gets created during Win2k Pro install. So, I went in and created another local account called Administrator, and made it a member of the Administrators group on the local pc. Would this seem to be a feasible workaround? In other words, is there some functionality in the built in account, as opposed to the one I created?
