hiding a partition(volume) in NT

by mbertel . Updated 24 years, 9 months ago

First thank you Anna and OTL for you solutions it worked like a champ. Here is the situation as well as question. I am currently using a NT machine in which i have basic user rights that is I can create, save, edit files. However no admin rights. My hard drive is partition so I have a C and D partition. I right clicked on the D drive hoping to find an option to hide the D partition and there was nothing. Is there another way to hide the D partition as well as unhide it when the need arises. Also there is a box I can check to compress the drive I have never done this before would it harm any of the files I have on the D drive if I were to check the compress box? Thank you for your help.
