Hollow Keys

Lately I have noticed I’m not able to use the keys combination CTRL+V and CTRL+F under Windows XP, and to be frank I don’t really understand what really causes this problem. Are there any tricks which I can use to activate this option again without having to reinstall the OS? Thanks, Manuel Graft
