home network issue

have 2 computers- 1 running W2Kpro and the other win98. the W2k computercan see the 98 but can’t access any file.The 98 computer can’t see the W2k computer. they are conncted to a gateway router/hub. I have the respective drives shared & file and print sharing on both. what am i missing
