Dear Friends;
First time I run accross this.
I’m feeling like an idiot here and I’ve decided to turn to my colleagues or help. Only if you promise NOT to laugh.”At least not out loud”
Problem.;I’m using Win XP Po and I’ve decided to do networking at home between my 2 Computers. So far,so good. But then something happened in the way my log on and off on the XP Changed . It went from a standard log on to a Security log on. When I tried to discover why, after having done the Microsoft Dance and coming up with nothing, all I was told that in order to return to the old method of signing on was to remove the CSNM Networking program from the Control Panel.”Fine says I”, when I get to the Control Panel, I can’t find the darned thing anywhere, I looked at the added Programs, checked out the Microsoft Add-Remove Options and looked just about everywhere else you can think of and still came up empty.
All I want is to be able to network with my secondary computer without it causing my XP to go secure/nuts on me. I used to do it between my MEs without all this nonsense. Is there any way I can accomplish this with XP Pro? Most of all I would be grateful if someone could lead me to this infernal, CSNW file and the “proper” way of removing it so that my system can go back to normal. Perhaps then I can network between my two Computers and still have the XP log on normally?
I really need your help people and I will certainly be very grateful for any advice that you should give.
I Thank you in advance
