I am a member of Microsoft Partners Network and with my subscription I have access to software. I downloaded a copy of Windows 7 Professional to trial on a PC I have. The file comes as an ISO file. I have Roxio Creator and Nero eXpress and now CDBurnerXP to burn ISO files to CD/DVDs. I have tried them all but and they all allow me to configure the software to burn the ISO file to the DVD disc, however, the end DVD disc never boots the computer.
I took my older copy of Windows XP and I can start my PC with that CD in the drive and it starts to boot up ready to install XP on the new hard drive. I just can’t get the PC to boot the new Window 7 DVD that I make from that ISO file I downloaded.
Does anyone have any ideas on what I’m doing wrong or what I might try?
