I have a Cable Modem and Router. The Router has 4 slots and the 4th slot is for my Laptop. My printer is an All in One HP D 135. The USB Cable is connected to only one computer(The one I’m using now). My question is this: Can I place my Laptop which is in my Router on the same printer without another USB? I called My ISP who told me to take a walk, then I called Dell who told me to call HP. I called HP and was on the phone for at least 3 hours, placing my HP CD into my PC CD Rom and used it as a Network. HP never said click “Add a computer”, they just kept me going round and round until I just gave up. The HP printer only has one USB port anyway, so there’s nothing to plug into. Is it possible to really create a Network using what I have? Even If I was crazy enough to buy a cheap InkJet(We have 3 printers now, 2 HP Lasers and the HP All in One). By the way, the Laptop is a Desktop replacement. I made a huge mistake buying this, but, we live and learn the hard way.
Any advise would be most appreciated.
